Question XD9-SC Carry

How do you carry a XD9-SC? side holster, pocket, ankle? I would like to carry in front pocket but it seems a little big compared to my S&W "J" frame.

Welcome to XDTalk! I think that the SC is too big for pocket carry. I carry mine at 3:30 in a Crossbreed Supertuck and couldn't be happier with the setup. There are a LOT of holster options out there.

I carry at the 3 o'clock position...

The XD SubCompacts are not pocket guns, they are actually short tactical weapons and carry best in holsters. Inside the Waist holsters conceal the best while Outside or Belt holster are the most comfortable. They are also a little to heavy for ankle carry. Probably the most popular holsters on this sight are the Crossbreed Supertuck, the K&D Dakota Defender, and the Comp-Tac holsters.

XD9sc

I carry mine in a Comp-Tac CTAC holster. From my experience with Crossbreed carrying a Hi-Power, I am sure the pistol would carry well in a Crossbreed holster.

I carry my XD9SC in a Blade-Tech IWB. It's their "Universal" model, so when I get a longer XD, that'll fit too. I've got the same holster for my 1911's, and have used 'em for about eight years with zero problems. Only challenge is they're not "tuckable." I'm thinking about a cross-breed or comp-tac to allow tuck and spread the weight out a little front-to-back. I pretty much only tuck my shirt at work, where carry is prohibited, so I'm only thinking a little.

I went with a IWB Don Hume holster as I like the one I have for my Bersa Thunder .380. It works very well, not expensive and stays in place with a good belt. The only thing I would change is to have it ride alittle lower but its not an issue.
