I carry OWB under an open button-down shirt. I use a Raven Concealment Systems Ghost Holster. It's a slide holster that will accommodate all sizes of XD.

I carry mine in either a Don Hume IWB, or a Crossbreed Supertuck. I like them both, but for extended carry the crossbreed spreads out the weight better.
Yeah, the XDSC is too big for pocket carry, and too heavy for ankle carry.

hey gang,
I have carried my xd 9mm sc in a desantis pocket holster, for about 2 months now. First off I am a big guy ( fat ) and I wear loose jeans and pants, which have large pockets. I have no problem with the 9mm sc in my pocket at all. I wear a good belt that keeps the pants from drooping. Working in an office, getting up and down from a seated position, concealment is of the utmost importance I also just got a crossbreed iwb holster that I am trying out now. IMHO you can use a pocket holster if you pick the right pants/pockets Good luck Jack |
