new xd owner
Hey all, just got my new XD40 4" last Friday and have made it to the range twice thus far. I couldn't be happier w/ the gun as of right now. I've had no misfires, FTFs, etc. Reliable shooting is all I've experienced. Just thought I'd drop a line since you'll probably start seeing me more often on the forum.

P.S. I'll explain the name early on to abate any questions. 2-parts: Chupacabra, Chus. Chupacabra is a mystical creature: vampire like and foreign. Chus is a nickname version of the Spanish name Jesus (hay-soos).

Welcome. My son has a XD9 and it has shot everything from WWB to reloads without a porblem on the other hand XD40 had trouble with reload using Berry's bullets until I polished the feed ramp.

Welcome to the forum. In the future you might look into don's rod & spring mod for better recoil recovery.
