9mm to 40S&W conversion?
Sorry if its a dumb question, but I'm new to XD's and this site. I recently picked up an XD-9 Tactical and am wondering if I can convert to 40 or 357 cal or is it just the other way around???

You can go down from the 357/40 to a 9mm, but not up from a 9mm. The hole in the slide is too small in the 9mm for a bigger barrel. I hope this helps!

Thanks it does. It seems like it would have been a better idea getting the XD-40 Tactical instead of the XD-9 Tactical. At least I would have the option to shoot 9mm. Too late now.
