Has anyone heard of thier being a .45ACP being made out thought about at Springfield? I would love two of them and would buy them in a heartbeat.

Still waiting for that day myself. Only I'm waiting for the 10mm. If they developed frames for .45ACP and 10mm in various sizes, they'd be giving Glock some heavy competition. All they need to do is keep the price reasonable and they'd sell like hotcakes.

Long Answer.
The Form of the XD that we all love just cannot handle the .45ACP round.
The entire pistol would have to be re engineered to accomadate the much larger .45ACP round.
It sucks....I wish they would do it too.....but I just do not think it going to happen.

Eventually It may happen, How many years was it between Glocks releasing the 17 and the first release of the larger frame for the ACP. The xd and hs2000 is only 5 years old.

The person who carries more than 1 gun is not paranoid but prepared.
