Which XD to shoot suppressed?

I've got four choices to shoot suppressed with my Trident 9 9mm suppressor -

XD9 Tactical

XD40 Service with a 9mm conversion barrel

XD 9 Service

XD9 Subcompact

Which way should I go?

My vote would be to see the subcompact with the supressor on it.

I don't believe anyone makes a threaded barrel for the 3" XDsc models and the sc frame is enough different that you can not use a cut down 4" Service barrel. Therefore you are stuck with either a Tactical or a Service model and I agree the Tactical is too long so it looks like you will be supressing a Service model.

I did not know that.

That was the general plan.

How is the SC frame different?

Yu would have to as SA but I believe they are different in the lockup area. In addition if you bought a threaded Service barrel it would be 4 1/2" long which means it would extend past the end of the frame 1 1/2" which would look pretty weird.

if you want complete suppression, you'll need subsonic ammo. What caliber subsonic would you like? (.45)

Yeah think it would be too long 2. but the service model would look too cool. blk frame, stainless slide, blk supressor. now that would be kool.
I also saw the coyote tan and stainless xd45 service model at the gun store and it was cool may sum subsonic ammo with a supressor would be cool.

The plan is to get a Dillon press and re-load 147 gr subsonic 9mm.
