i would recomend a 45 for a suppressed weapon. most standard ammo and +p ammo is allready subsonic
double tap ammo makes a 230 grain at 1010fps with 521 ft/lb of energy. that will ruin anyones day
but their 9mm 147 grain is gong 1135 fps so that is just over the speed of sound and it only has 421 ft/lbs


so as far as a suppresed pistol goes 45 acp wins hands down IMO
