.357 Conversion for XD40 - Accelerate Wear on Gun?
I have an XD40, and I'm thinking about getting one of those aftermarket .357 conversion barrels. I am concerned that the higher pressures of the .357 round will cause accelerated wear on my .40S&W designed gun. If both the XD357 and the XD40 are identical guns, then I would think the XD357 will wear out more quickly. True?

If you have the correct springs there should not be a problem. 24lb with Don's guide rod, or the factory 357 XD set.

I doubt you will ever have to worry about wearing out your gun. The .357 may wear out sooner(?), but it wont be a big difference in service life.
