Do you guys want the good news or the bad
So ive finally come to realize that an xd40sc with trijicon night sights just cant be found anywhere. I called lous police supply in miami, woodbury outfitters in ohio, ive called every gun shop here in tampa and nothing.
Im sad to say i wont be getting night sights. But as soon as i get my rebate check, a dealer here in tampa has a supplier with 30 xd40scs' without nightsights. His price to me is going to be 470 plus 5 dollars for the br check. Is this a good price.

I paid $456 for my XD9sc about a week ago with no charge for the br check. It was 487 with tax.

thats a pretty good price, i would say its on the low side of average. its not an great deal but its about as good as your going to get on one thats not on sale from a local shop.
also why dont you just get some night sites installed? |

When I went in looking for the XD Tactical in 357 sig and with Trijicon sights there was, as you might imagine, none in stock. So, I ordered it. Six days later I was shooting it!
So, even though they might not have any on the shelf why not ask about ordering it. You may well have to put 20% down or somesuch but if that's what you want then no big deal. Brian |

I am planning on getting a 9mm service with Trijicons. None of my local gun shops have them and they all say their distributors don't have it either. I think I'm going to get it without the sights and send the slide to SA to have them installed.

It's 105 plus shipping for Trijicons, Heinie's or XS Big Dots.

Seems a lot of retail folks feel they have to sell what they have and do anything to discourage you from ordering -- they want your money now! While unemployed a while back I looked into selling cars at a dealership. They would train you and then, a month later, you were on your own. The thing is they were VERY emphatic about selling what was on the lot and explained that if you didn't sell what was on the lot the odds of selling at all would drop significantly. They mybe right about that but YOU don't have to play THEIR game... So, if you have the time to wait a couple weeks or so I'd just tell them this is what I want and do you want the sale or not? When I ordered my Tactical with Trijicon I knew I'd be leaving town in a week and might not be back for a month and told the salesman that at time of order. He was pretty decent in NOT pushing what they had as I had made it clear exactly what I wanted. So, six days later I geta voice mail that the XD was in and about an hour later I was in signing the papers. Put 50 rounds through right after that and another 100 after work and then left town the next morning. Brian |
