xd9 4" and 3"
Im about to buy a xd 9 in the service or subcompact! how much more recoil does the sc have over the service in 9mm! the reason i ask is because i own a xd 40 and its getting expensive to shoot so i want a 9mm mainly for the range! im not interested in the conversion barrel! i dont have my permit so concealment isnt an issue right now, however i dont want a tac! basically is the servicve that much better of a range gun than the sc if at all?

I honestly don't feel a difference in the recoil between the two.

The service will help keep velocity better than the sub. But as a sub owner I would say the recoil is negligable. IMO. Others may have thiers. I think a service may be a slightly more practical choice for punching holes in paper. And I know you said carrying wasn't apart of the equation, but if you get a subby it could be some day down the road.

ya! i kinda already gigured the servive would be better for the range but i am planning on getting my permit somtime this summer so the subby could come in handy! and my .40 is a service model! reason im not to concerned about concealing just yet is that im a full time student and spend alot of time on campus so i cant carry a gun most of the time even if i had a permit! i guess i just need to shoot both and see wut works for me!

Had a Service currently have the SC. Notice no real diffrence in recoil. Get the one that fits you best.

ok, with my .40 4" i cannot double tap accurately due to recoil! honestly im leaning towards the subby but i want to be sure i can double tap with it! i know it sounds dumb but my follow up with the 40 is terrible! im thinking i already have a service so i should get the subby! only thing is around where i live, and maybe its this way everywhere, but the subby is in such high demand it ias significantly more expensive that any other model! really the only thing detouring me from it!
