Shipping back to Springfield

Whe you guys shipped back to springfield, how did you do it. Did you send it in the original XD case or what?

Yep. Original case inside a cardboard shipping box, insured. Send Federal Express overnight. You may have to find your local Federal Express Distribution Center as some local facilities will not ship firearms.

Do yourself a favor and have you local gunshop ship it.

They can usually ship it for less than $20

Overnighting a handgun, by a private party, with some carriers can WELL exceed $50.

Not all of course, but there are a few A-holes out there....

They pay shipping whatever you were sending it for is in fact a warranty covered issue. You might want to be %100 sure before you send all expensive.

As stated before, let a gun shop do it...they can use USPS.

Depends on where you live. Out here on the Left Coast shipping Overnight via one of the approved carriers will run you $75-$85.

Local shop ships for under $20.

Oh well. Shipped with UPs for $50. Local around here wanted the same amount so....no biggie. Springfield said that Trigger Slap would be a Warranty Reimburse issue.
