If anyone following this thread is still considering doing polishing job themselves then there's no hope for you, lol!

I just had the barrels and guide rods polished for my XD-9 and 1911 TRP by Todd and they look perfect! Clean up job is cake now, takes just a few seconds... this improvement alone is enough to justify $30 for a mirror-polished barrel.

I say quit all this do-it-yourself bull$hit... hours wasted, $$ spent on supplies... why? Pay the $30 and get it done right.

Thanks Todd!

Yes I can do that. Here is pictures of a Marlin M1 Model 99 I did a complete job on. Polished and reblued the barrel, chrome plated the barrel band, mag feed end and all the screws, Polished the receiver, trigger guard and front sight. All the internals were smoothed and polished, and lastly redid the stock. I left if a matte finish instead of using a glossy type stain for the better contrast of all the rest of the gun. My only downfall was I couldnt find an original butt pad before I sold this. If you saw picture of this before I started it, all I bought it for was the trigger guard for another gun!!! I thought what the heck, it looked so nice I posted it up for sale and sold it in less then 20 minutes !!! LOL.

But yes I can do it for you. Email guns@customizedcreationz.com

Thanks. Glad you like them. The 1911 barrel turned out great. Here is pictures of it. There is a little dust on the first picture.

I'm going to start in on my XD barrel pretty soon. I love the look of that bit of polished steel poking through the ejection port. Which got me thinking. I've seen plenty of chromed AR15 bolt carriers (mine is not), and that's a great look as well.

Can the AR15 bolt carriers be polished in the same way as a barrel? Or are there side effects I'm missing like tighter tolerances or something?
