I've had trigger slap since the first round through my 40SC. After a few hundred rounds it'll raise a decent little blister. I spoke to the XD reps at last year's NRA convention and they told me that it was common on the subcompacts in .40.
So 9K+ rounds later I've got a callous on my trigger finger. I still love my XD.
