SA will make it right; if it happens to multiple people something is wrong.
Same here with the G35 - annoying as hell....but no such issues with G19 or G21. This is one of my reservations about buying an XD. I'm sure I'll still buy - but it is something I have thought about since "de-Glocking" a few years ago.

Ditto, I rented an XD-40 and a G23 to test them out before making my purchase. The G23 was painful to shoot, and my wife complained of the same thing. I couldn't tell if it was trigger-slap, or what, but it happened no matter where my finger was.

Needless to say, I went with the XD.

Well I just got mine back from Springfield this morning. Quick turn around, only gone 5 business days. I'm going to try and get out to test it today, but not too sure if I'll get the chance. It might have to wait until tomorrow. Not too much on the description of the repair on the work order. Just says "Modified Trigger" and that it was tested. Oh well, hopefully it's all good to go.

I used to pull the trigger with my fingertip, that made it sore a lot. Started using the first joint in my finger after the fingertip, its a lot more stable and less sore too

Well made it to the range to test out Springfield's fix. I only had time to go through 225 rounds which were a combo of 100 rnds 165gr WWB, 100 rnds 180gr Blazer Brass, and 25 rnds of 165gr Speer Gold Dots.

While that's not a ton of shooting, I can definitely say there is a marked improvement with the trigger. I wouldn't go so far as to say it has been totally eliminated but it's at least 90% better. The most important thing, my finger wasn't sore when I left the range. It would have been before. Overall I'm happy with the results.

That has nothing to do with it. I have shoot many different Xd 40 SC's and they had no affect on me. Mine, however does and has for everyone that has used it.

But than again.....maybe were all "sensitive".

I don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread already, but are you letting go of the trigger as soon as you pull it? People without training tend to do this, and the trigger slaps your finger as it returns forward. A little retraining usually fixes this. When you pull the trigger, hold it to the rear until after the gun has fired. At this point only let the trigger back out until you hear/feel the disconnecter reset in a distinct click. Then your ready to fire again without having the trigger reset to it's original position. Even if you aren't going to shoot another round, avoid letting your trigger finger just fly off the trigger.

It is hard to develop this habit at first if you aren't used to it, so dry firing helps. While holding the trigger to the rear use your off hand to rack the slide to simulate the gun firing.
