I'm thinking that the best option is to send it back and let them have a look at it. Its not a pinch but it is a slap. Besides, I hear they reimburse shipping so.....it cant hurt to have them have a look at it.

Just talk to Springfield and the first guy said " I never heard of something like that. Let me check" one he got back he said that there is a issue with some of the Sub XD 40s have Trigger Slap. Gave me the information to get it sent in and I will be shipping out in a lil bit. I will keep you posted on what happens from this point on.

I had the same problem with the sub .40 . The muzzle flip is re-goddamn-diculous! I corrected it by changing my grip...

primarily by ensuring that only the tip of my finger is resting on the trigger. The grip is small and with less grip you I tended to leave more finger on the trigger which in turn got caught in the trigger gaurd. I dont know if thats the answer for you but you may want to givie it a try.

I have adjusted my grip and even rented one at a range and it wasmt like mine. Its hard to explain unless its happened to you. I went 50 rounds with the rented on and no pain. Started shooting mine and after 5 my finger hurt. Its just not right!

Holy damn. I just figured out what it is. When I shot I do it with out think about my finger placement. I just aim and pull. But when I'm sitting here tring to figure out what is wrong I am thinking about my finger placement so I cant see the issue.

What Im doing is letting my finger sit too low on the trigger and when it comes back it is pinching my finger. The only way I figured it out is I have the gun broke down and I was looking at this sit and pulling the trigger (without thinking about it) and it pinched my finger.

At that some dumb sh*$! All this time and all I had to do was to stop looking for the problem and just let it happen.
Atleast I think that is the issue. I will post in a few hours and let you guys know if Im right.

I started the last thread about this. I got my 40sc back in record time. What causes it is the trigger safety is contacting the lugs of the barrel when the slide returns to battery. That is what causes the slap. I think I said that right.

I origionally reported that the issue was fixed. Im back on the fence though. I started out shooting some reloads. These didnt have quite the punch of factory ammo. With my lighter reloads I had no more slap, but then a buddy of mine loaded up some factory for him to shoot and he noticed some slap. I put some factory hollow points in, and noticed some slap too. I am going to shoot it some more, and call springfield again.

But I definately recomend sending it back to springfield.

Well, its not a pinch. I shot 10 rounds and by #2 my finger was sore. By 10 it hurt and continued to for 20 mins. Its def. not pinch---the trigger is poping back up and knockin the shi* out of my finger. Its not my grip, finger position, or ... So, I guess I will ship it back to Springfield and see what happens. Maybe I'm just a panzy!

no dude! A former ranger shot mine this past weekend, and even he complained about it. LOL

My next question is.....has anyone experienced this with xd 45's? I think I am going to pick one up today.
