Cool Sights, CHL, and one other..?

Hi all...
Loving my XD40SC and I want to get some night sights for it. Any suggestions on what is the best for the best price? I don't know really what is considered expensive or what brand would stand the test of time, But I'm really wanting to get some.
I Was at Bass Pro Shops, shooting today and saw that they contract a certified instructer for CHL, cost is $120 which includes range fees, paperwork and fingerprinting..is that a pretty good deal? Lowest I've seen but I haven't really looked around that much.
Also, totally unrelated...anybody have a Walther P22, and have opinions? I"m thinking about getting one just to have some fun with. I know, totally unrelated but I didn't wanna post in another room. Thanks for any opinions!

update

Ok I forgot to add some stuff on the CHL class...it includes all of the following

" a one-day training course, which includes your passport photographs, notary, fingerprints, and of course the shooting proficiency test. "

I've heard that the class is just "hateful" according to a buddy of mine, meaning that its brutally long..like 11 hours or something!

I would go with Trijicons for the night sights they are very good and seem to last pretty well. The usally go for $80-120 depending on where you find them. Where are you from my CC course was only $60 and it came with every thing that you mentioned except a passport pic and I dont need that any way. The class is long but its the nature of the beast I guess.

Without knowing where you live it's very hard to give subjective opinions on the cost of a class.

For example. If you live in Washington state it's a total rip since no class is needed.

In Oregon the typical class runs $30-$40 and takes about 4 hours. No shooting is required.

There is a lot of information on different night sights in the forum, do a search and you should find plenty of reading. I have Meprolights and I like them, but I have used Trijicons and they are great too. Don't hesitate to call up Springfield's shop. They have good prices on the the sights + installation. Unless you have a trusted local to install them, or you are going to install them yourself it is usually the cheapest way to go. And don't forget, you can just send them your stripped slide.

It might help if everyone knows where I live. I am a newbie and still have not updated all of my profile. I live in TX and have not found any class lower than 120 bucks. Then, you have to pay the state 140 dollars to process and get your license to you. It's then good for like 4 years

I have been very happy with TruGlow sights for my tired old eyes. They are easy to see day or night. Very good in low light, like indoor ranges.
