I took my class (3 yrs ago) at Elk's Castle on the west side of Ft. Worth. Good instructor and did it in one day. I think the license is good for 5 yrs now. Expect the state to take at least 60 days before you get it.

I've had my P22 for over year now and I love it. At 7 - 15 yards it's pretty accurate, but fun as heck to shoot. Plus you can't beat the price of ammo for practice. I have heard about problems with them. But I have not had any problems yet 3000+ rounds later. Yes it can be pick with ammo but it shoots remington goldens great, and they are CHEAP. Get one, you will not regret it.

JV74 ..If you are near the SW side of Ft. Worth, On Target range south of Benbrook on US 377 does CHL classes for $100 for everything including photo. Classes are one day (one L-O-N-G 11 hour day

). They're great people and will take care of you.

Oh, BTW I have XS Big Dot Express sights on my carry gun. Probably the best close quarter combat sights on the market IMO.
