Well, now I've done it
I sold my last two Glocks, and bought another XD. So now I have two XD45 Service models, and one XD9 Tactical. I sold my Glock 17 and Glock 22. I won't bad mouth Glocks, and even trusted my life with one when I was a part time LEO a few years ago. I have owned most Glock models in 9, 40 and 45, and even a G31 in .357sig. I used to manage the gunshop for a law enforcement supply distributor, and got a pretty good discount on Glocks, so that helped feed the gun habit. I can say that no Glock model in 45 fits me as well as the XD45s, not even the G21SF. My Glock 30 was the most accurate Glock I owned in any caliber. My XDs are more accurate than it was. I have come to learn that the XDs fit me better, and are more accurate in my hands. While I won't say any negative things about Glocks, I will say that my feet are firmly planted in the XD camp now. For me, the XD out-Glocks the Glocks.

Right on! I'll shoot with my brother-in-law from time to time. He has a Glock 40cal. I usually can out shoot him at just about any distance with my XD45 Tactical.

I never regret getting rid of my G22 after having the XD45 4" for a while. I liked the gun, but I decided I didn't need two such similar firearms so I kept the one I liked!
Now I would consider a G19 when I get my GF into shooting. But I do think we will try the XD9 first. |
