I sure wasn't, and mine is a gen. 1. Robar put the NP3 on all metal parts for me:

If he's keeping it as a collectible, then I'd say don't do anything to it. If he wants to use it regularly, modify it however he wants, as long as it's legal. No need to trade it for an xd9, as they are the same, save for cosmetic stampings on the slide and grip. Sorry for the poor image quality. I didn't have a digital camera at the time.

What do you mean defunct? They still make them, I know that for a fact, so what are you talking about?

I think he means that the HS in it's original labeling is no longer imported. It is available elsewhere in the world.

Go for it sport.

What's with the "troll" crap lately? I don't see any way that this is trolling, it is a fair question.

How about we call ALL questions trolling? Makes sense to me. Then we can make all of the subsequent answers troll bait. And since many seem to be masters of calling this out, we can call them masterbaters.

Sorry for any spelling errors in this post, I've been drinking.

I agree, Don!...We seem to be attracting an inordinate number of Yakov's these days...
