New Guy Query
Hello gun people im new to the XD world and fairly new to personal firearms, my XD9 V10 is my second gun.
Here's my issue: I bought my XD used (old finish) from the local gun shop and the owner gave me a non-ported barrel as part of the deal. Problem is/was the non barrel notches at the top of the chamber didnt align with the slide/round indicator as the "prongs" were too wide. Now i filed it to fit perfectly and my dumb ass went and test fired it, and it worked fine. Is this barrel OK to use? Did Springfield just make it a little different to sell specific barrels? Any light on this subject would be appreciated. THX. |
