Another 500 rounds down range without a hitch....

im on vacation this week....

and even though the price of gas is causing me to contemplate getting a Donkey to drive i loaded up the gear bag and headed off to the range...What the hell, its only money.....

I shot a variety of loads: WWB, HST's, Rangers and TAP's....

both my XD's once again proved flawless......and i did something with the XD i could never do with any Glock....

i hit a ten ring at about 25 yards.....for me that is a real feat and personal accomplishment..just something about the grip angle, trigger and sights that just come together for me on these XD's and are fabulous....

one note, does anyone ever carry, shoot the Hornandy TAP's???? i had a box of those and had to double check the box because they were shooting like Cor-bon +p's....very, very loud report and muzzle flash.....Hornandy markets these for self defense but i would hesitate using them because of that....

currently using 147 grain HST's......

and to anyone wanting a SIG....Buds gun shop in paris, KY is having a SWEEEEEEEETTTTTT sale on Sig's.....226's, 228, 229's all on sale for about 600 brand new.....they had a brand new 229 in 9mm all black that was calling my name...but had to pass

they have a website so check em out if youre interested

Nice report.
I've seen the threads on the Federal HST 147gr in 9mm and they are impressive to say the least.
Bullet results after firing
The Hornady TAPs were unimpressive to say the least...
What are your favorite loads for self
(look 2/3 of the way down the page)
Cheers,

Its always good to know that rounds are being fired and skills sharpened. The more armed citizens we have, the more crimes possibly stopped
