add Chicago to the list. 10 round magazine limit and a name brand ban on virtualyl every "assult weapon" . im shure it depends on the cop a bit, but people are procecuted all the time. you will also have "FOID card"(the only legal way to possess firearms in IL) privleges revoked.
Chicago PD has a rep for taking away even legally stored for transport firearms and booking the ligitimate FOID card registered persons. the procecuters in cook county are of a democratic agenda so this has caused quite a mess for the innocent being accused. if you don't have deep pockets for a good lawyer, who knows??
