Jay, I found the prices lower when I was at Sportsmans Warehouse on SE 82nd this afternoon. The subcompact 40cal XD was $489. I actually found the prices substantially lower at Northwest Armory on SE McLaughlin, where the same xd subcompact I was looking at was $459. I ended up actually purchasing a used xd subcompact 9mm for $399. I also found the guys there more helpful than at SW but YMMV

i worked at sportsmans warehouse in oregon before i joined the army, and they're a little over priced. you can find a better deal. you should try Northwest Armory in Portland, that's where i got mine and i got a good deal on it. and of course i love it.

The gun would have to be sent to a FFL holder in Oregon. Then you would have to pick it up there. By the time you pay shipping and the transfer fee you would most likely break even if you were lucky.

Yea I got my XD9 SC for 549 w/o taxes. I did get the XD Gear with it thought. Mag holder, holster, 16rnd mag (if it's legal in your state), speed loader, and a wire brush. All in a nice little case.

i picked up my xd45 tactical a few months ago for ~$530 after taxes. now i see them at local gun shops for $475'ish. even the XD9 SC that used to be $550+ is down to the $465 range lately. really tempting to pick one up at that price.
