I have ran into the problem of not being able to take apart my XD (take the slide off). I had this problem once before and I took it out to shoot then it game off just fine. I tried the same thing and still no luck.

I do have a don's guide rod. I think this has been discussed...link anyone?

Also the roll pin on the top of my slide keeps working it self about a 1/16th of an inch out even while dry firing. I have used a punch to put it back in and it works it way out again

I have had TFO's installed and springer trigger kit along with don's guide rod.

Any help would be great

Yup, the roll pin FELL OUT on my XD when I was taking it apart to clean. I only had around 200 rounds through it. Go figure. I had a better one put in. Hopefully it will solve that.

Still would like some info now to to take my slide off?

Loves2shoot said I might have put my recoil spring on backwards (open end to the rear)

I cant remember if I did this or not. I just want it fixed......

Is the gun locked up or does it function OK but just not disassemble? There's a thread in the Don's Guide Rod area with some info on taking it appart.
