XD9 Barrel Length Question
Hi there!
I am new to the world of XD's but not to handguns. I bought an XD9 yesterday and put 100 rounds through...functioning flawlessly. Very nice handgun. I bought the sub compact model and wanted to make sure I was understanding something correctly before shopping around for a IWB holster. My barrel length is 3" if it is the sub compact model, right? The literature with the guns says: Sub-Compact = 3" Service Model = 4" Tactical = 5" I just want to be sure before making a mistake buying the wrong holster! Anyway, you have a great forum here. I spent a few hours reading it last night and look forward to participating in the future! David |

If it's a 3" barrel then it's a SC. Welcome to the forum.

It has "Sub-Compact" stamped on the slide so I guess it is safe to say it is a 3" barrell.

Yes it is a 3" barrel but depending on what holster you but getting one for a 4" may be an advantage when you buy the XD 45 Compact for your next gun.
