Galco holsters; Holsters; Gun holster, pistol holsters, western holsters, shoulder holsters, leather holster and Glock holsters
This would be the most comfortable in my opinion. -Jeff-

That is a good idea! I am going to dig through my knife pouches and see if I have one that will fit a SC mag.

I utilize a outside the pants mag pouch. Mag pouch's don't extend below the belt nearly as much as a outside the pants holster so it shouldn't be a issue for you.
I can not stress enough how important it is to carry at least one extra magazine. Even if you have a high capacity handgun, magazines do fail, even the best ones on the market. Recently I have had a Wilson Combat 1911 magazine fail on me and I consider them the best 1911 mags money can buy. It was almost new, only having a hundred round or so through it. I have seen magazines fail on high dollar race guns in matches being shot by some of the biggest names in the business. If this happens in a match the worst that can happen is you loose the match. If this happens on the street you can loose your life. In addition, you may be up against more than one bad guy. Like Clint Smith told us at Thunder Ranch, wolves travel in packs. Always plan for the worst scenario. Do whatever you need to do but always carry a spare magazine. |

I use the Uncle Mike's Undercover Mag Pouch. It was only 10 bucks and it completely covers a 10-round 45 mag, looks like a multi tool or something. Keep it on my left side belt.

personally, i do not really see the need to carry an extra 16 rounds. if i can't take care of business with one magazine, i might as well throw the gun down and run. however, honestly, IF i were inclined to carry an extra mag, i would just throw it in my inside jacket pocket. |

You never know when you may have a weapon malf. that involves the magazine that would be easier fixed by just going to your extra mag.
I used to carry in a gerber pouch like above but now I carry my spare in a Blackhawk mag carrier and then a second spare goes in my EDC bag.

I carry a G30 in my right pocket, and two G21 mags in my left pocket.
I'm a big guy, and most people probably can't get away with this, however. Relaxed fit jeans help. |

Have you looked at Raven systems they are a lot slimmer than most holsters and the mag holsters are as slim. You might get back a few inches on a IWB and be able to carry two extra.
