I'm not trying to lay blame on anybody just trying to explain that this is not a common problem. For further information as to what wore out and why you might try contacting noobshooter or Scott.
I did not think that you were trying to lay any Blame. I was just trying to avoid any misunderstanding of the issue.

Thank you for all your help.

You can modify the safety block safely, but it is not modified as some have described. I will not describe the several ways you can safely modify it because some people will attempt it and get it wrong. There is no need to reduce the contact area between the safety block and striker or the sear and striker.

The XD is a very reliable and safe pistol, and there is no need for folks to get all worked up about it.

I let Scott at Springer Precision work on my 2 XD45ACP triggers. Love them. Everybody loves the trigger jobs he did. Thanks Scott. My CCW is stock.... don't want to answer those questions from a lawyer if I have to use my XD for protection.
