Looks good...hopefully those last. I have been to the range 3x with my XD 45 and cleaned after every trip. Still look new.

I sharpied my rear sights to remove confusion of three white dots. Other than that I'm leaving them alone. I kind of figure that keeping the gun as stock as possible and spending more time and money shooting is better than some new sights.

Birchwood-Casey makes pen for this sort of thing but for a sight you still have to apply the product with a toothpick. SA has a history of the sight dots just falling out.

How can the white dot just vanish.. only a hole there now

It's very weird...

I've given up at this point... I'm sure springfield would fix... but I don't want to be without my gun for weeks.

I'm thinking a drop of white model car paint or white fingernail paint. Ideas for an quick/easy fix?
Mine was "worn" looking brand-new. The white on the rear sight, right side, is almost gone. I'm going to replace the sights, so it's no big deal to me, but I don't think the factory sights are very durable in terms of the paint.
