XD40 Mag won't lock in when filled to capacity (?)
Is this a sign of a new mag? When filled to capacity (12 rounds), I can't get the mag to lock into the frame and I am afraid to force it. Take one cartridge out, and no problem.

Slide open or closed? Try it with the slide open.. Problem will probably go away with use and magazine break-in.

The Mag Spring needs to break in. No big deal, give it time.

I accidentally loaded 13 rounds into one of my mags once, never tried to put it the gun, but was fairly surprised it went in! especcially sp? since i coulndnt get more than 10 in when i first brought the pistol home.
