XD width?

I tried to find the width of the XD pistols but SA doesn't seem to have it listed anywhere. I'm trying to do a comparison for my wife to help her decide on a handgun for herself.

Anyone?

measurements don't mean anything unless you're going to use them to carve an XD out of wood for her to hold. Take her to a gun shop and let her hold as many guns as she wants. Then buy the one that feels best to her (within reason-yeah, a S&W airlight .357 magnum feels good, but will probably kill her). Then go over to the gun that you like and tell her that you have to buy it for yourself.

I'm sure where I found it, but I have the XDSC width as 1.2" I'm not sure if this is the same width for all models.

The measurement is more for holster selection but I think I'll buy one for me too...

Numbers will do you NO GOOD what-so-ever. The XD has the same grip width as a 1911 but everyone will tell you the 1911 is slimmer and smaller. It's the SHAPE that makes the 1911 feel small, double stacks are squarish, single stacks ( other than Sigs ) tend to be more oval and feel better.
