What's the best way to replace a Striker retaining pin?

Mine seems to have split in half verticaly and half of it is sticking out the top. Can I just pull that half out and then drive the other half out with the new pin? Good idea??? Really Bad Idea???

Just follow your regular disassembly instructions and you should be good to go. Let us know if you have a specific problem with 'em.

You can pull that half out but you can't drive the other half out with the new pin because the pin has to come out the top of the slide. Just punch the remaining half it out from the bottom up. The hole in the bottom of the slide is smaller in diam. than the one in the top of the slide.
