The .45 C also comes in 4" or 5" length models.

If you're handy with tools you can turn any of the Service or Tactical 9s or 40s into a Compact by doing a grip chop on it, then using the same mags as are available for the SC. There are a couple of goods sets of directions here on the forum. If you don't want to do it yourself you can check with Springer Precision or Canyon Creek and find out if they will do the work and what they charge. Somebody on here might know others that do the work.

Personally I'd like to have a XD9C Service to add to my XD45C 4" and 5" and my XD40 Tactical. I shoot the XD9SC exceptionally well, just happen to like the longer barrel guns.
