Now that Springfield has made XD parts available, I would like to get some spare parts for my XD 45 just in case. If I am ever in a situation where I break an ejector or other replaceable part, I'd like to be able to fix it myself and avoid the time it takes to ship to Springfield Armory for repair.
I was thinking of getting an ejector, recoil assembly, striker, and some springs. What do you think would be the parts most likely to break or need to be replaced? Are there any other spare components that would be worth getting? |

XDGuys.com has a bunch of OEM replacement parts here. It would be great to have a backup of all of the parts that you mentioned (ejector, recoil assembly, striker, springs), but I don't think that there is an exceptionally high chance of breakage for any certain part. One of the most common trouble parts is probably the striker retainer pin. Though, that could change depending on how you use it.

My XD9 has around 15-20K rounds fired and probably 40k dry fire. Here's a list of parts that I have, or am going to replace soon.
recoil spring striker dampening spring striker spring ejector striker retainer pin trigger bar spring barrel (found a crack in my OEM barrel recently, but due to an upcoming match I just picked up an EFK replacement and will send back the gun to SA later.) Mag springs

You cant't beat XDGUYS for their service and replacement parts. I had a bad striker retainer pin and they had one to my door in 2 days. If I ever need to get parts, XDGUYS are the only people I will order from.
Rich, once again thanks for the roll pin. Bill |

No, there are some parts they are still not selling (locking block, etc.). I have not yet been able to get a complete list of what is and is not sold. But there are lots of parts available now from XDGuys and PistolGear that were not available a few weeks ago, including most of the smaller parts, springs, and pins.
