XD Weapons Light Attachment

I see on the SA website that there is a light attachement in the XD Gear Section that will hold 1" flashlights.

Anyone have experience with this little gadget, and is it worth it?

If you are attempting to put this on your pistol it is just TOO BIG to do so. It would however work well for say like a shotty or something bigger like that.
I always thought of getting one for my pistol and try and come out cheaper that paying for a tac light like the XML, but when I saw it at a local gun store I was like DAMN this thing is HUGE.. It looked so small in all the photos I saw of it.
But anyways IMO if you want it for a pistol mount (NO) but for Shotty (YES) Hope that helps...

The XML is relatively small compared to most tac lights. it depends how you plan on using it though. as a nightstand gun, a tac light would be great. for carry, most people dont prefer a light but some do. the XML isn't very bright compared to most tac lights but it is much smaller. I have a streamlight TLR-2 on my 4' xd 45 and I think its great for home defense. It shoots a real bright blinding light with a laser too.

A scope ring with a Pic mount will hold a 1" light but like they said most 1" lights are pretty freakin huge on most pistols

45 Tactical Weapons Light

Wanted to mount a Xenon or Cree LED flashlight to my XD .45 Tactical. Saw that XD makes a flashlight attachment. Scarecrow said it is HUGE and not the small size as it appears on the XD website. Really don't want to buy one of the little self contained attachable weapons lights since I don't work for SWAT, and would be for my nightstand gun only. The flashlight I would like to attach would be the size of a Surefire 6P or smaller.....maybe one of the hot little Cree LED lights cranking out 150-200 lumens.
