I am looking to trade in my XD 9mm 4" service model all Black with minimal wear on the slide (never really carried it much). It has about 3k down the pipe. I am looking to trade it in for a XD sub-compact and was just wondering what your experience has been for trade in values? I have owned the gun for about 2 and half years, and love it, just would rather have something that is easier to carry.

You are better off selling it FTF to someone instead of trading it in or selling to a gunshop. As far as how much you could get, I would think in the $350-375 range, but I could be way off. But I can definitely tell you not to trade it or sell it at a gunshop as you won't get near what you would selling it to an individual.

From what I have seen...

If you try and trade it, you will are probably looking at $275-300.
If you try and sell it you are probably looking at $350-375.

I got 450 trade for my BiTone Service 40sw, I traded for an all black 45acp which I freakin Love and is Freakin Awesome..

I observed a F2F sale at a gunshow just last week, asking was $400, sold for $375, same pistol.

I sold an XD9 Tactical (with about 5,000 rounds through it) FTF last week for $350. Both parties considered it a fair deal.
