Picked up the XD40 Service's little brother!
almost the same gun, but very different uses, the SC is going to be my carry gun, and the service model will be for nightstand with a streamlight TLR-1 that i dont have yet as well as USPSA shooting this summer. I kept the same caliber for ease of ammunition and when i start reloading, i dont want to have to buy another set of dies.

That is great. We think alike! I have a 9mm Service for a bedside and sporting gun. I just recently got a 9mm SC for carry. I like the SC a LOT more that I thought I would, but the Service is still my favorite to shoot. Here are mine...
