I don't know much about the 357 sig and I know in a glock 22 at least to me the 40s&w pounded the s**t out of my hand probobly just the backstrap though. I'd go with the .45acp cause it really is more of a push than a jerk or a 9mm which is what I have, cause recoil is very easily controlled and as big of a fan of the .45 as I am, a good defensive 9mm JHP will do the job in most cases. And from what I've read if you bought the 40s&w you could use 357sig and 9mm coversion barrels on the same frame so that has its good points as well.

Need info/advice on getting new XD

As. far as an online Gun Store, I bought a Sig P220 Elite from Bud's Gun Shop in Paris Ky. and I was very pleased with the experience. Their price was $60.00-$80.00 less than local Gun Dealers and since you don.t pay sales tax, the savings is even better even if you have to pay $20.00 or $25.00 for FFL transfer. I received the gun within a week of them receiving payment.

[quote=rgeliske;994366]Be careful about the year manufactured. I bought a brand new just arrive XD9sc in Feb. 2007 but the gun was manufactured in 2005.quote]

I agree here. I wasn't wise enough to check out the spent casing born on date when I bought both a 9 Service and a 9SC same day last December. The 9SC was 09/07 with Melonite and the 9 Service was 1/06 Mfg. date without Melonite. I use the SC for my carry so it's not such a big deal but wish I would have at least asked for a better deal on the older finish gun.
