Can i bring bullets on a plane?

I'm assuming you mean complete ammunition.

For a commercial airline then: no for carry-on, maybe for checked baggage depending on the carrier. See TSA website on this.

For a private plane, you'll need to check FAA regulations.

If you mean just the bullet component, then it's probably best to assume the TSA won't distinguish this from loaded ammunition. Recommend treating just like complete rounds.

If you're flying an F/A-18, it's probably required except for training

last time I was flying a girl had go give up a belt that was lined with FAKE bullets. (I'm talking all "chrome" plastic bullets). The ****ing thing didn't even set off the metal detector.

I had made a key ring from a 338win mag. It was from the first moose that i had shot up here in Alaska.
I had it in my pocket so i placed it in the tray at the security gate. Never saw it again. TSA snatched it up in a heart beat. Had a hole drilled through it, no primer, and the bullet itself was mushroomed and all bent out of shape. NEVER SAW IT AGAIN
