well when i have seen unburned powder it was more of a white yellow matte color. but in the pickture it seems to be pretty shiny but it is hard to tell.

i just havent had the powder like that so i could be compleatly wrong.
but even if it is little flakes from brass it isnt really something to worrie about if it doesnt mess anything up

No worries here.

I have XD-9 5" have the same unburned powder. Have not shot any other ammo besides WWB 115gr FMJ. So I cant blame the ammo yet!

I have only shot my XD twice. The first time I shot 150 WWB and 100 Rangers out of it I had that same junk in there. But Weds. I shot 150 Blazers through it without it being there.
