Synthetic Safe gun scrubber, a little RemOil or Hoppes lube oil, and that's it.

Old school

Breakfree, patches, toothbrush, brass bore brush, and cotton swabs.

Those old USMC habits die hard.

Hoppe's Semi Auto solvent, Remington Teflon gun lube, synthetic safe gun scrubber, bore snake, brass brushes, and plenty of cotton swabs.
Hose down thew entire slide assembly with gun scrubber, and clean with Hoppe's and q-tips. give the barrel a good soaking pass with Hoppe's and then scrub with brass brush. Run a couple more patches through until it is pretty clean, and then finish up with a pass or two with the bore snake. Hit the slide with some Rem, Teflon, and call it good.

I have found that I usually have to drink a big glass of water after brushing my teeth on gun-cleaning night. I hope CLP and Hoppes aren't bad for your teeth!

Sorry, I had to inject some humor in here.

Hoppe's #9 is great at breaking up the yellow stuff on your teeth if you're a smoker.

I forgot, I do use Q-tips some times.
