on valentines day, I got off work early to spend some time with my wife (1.5 years so far). I got home and she said "oh honey, the gun (XD 9 service)is still in the safe, you should get it out." This is a usual thing, so as I open the safe, I reach in only to pull out a brand new XD 40 sub-compact, the gun I have been wanting for some time! She was almost against getting a second gun so I was pretty damn surprised. That's some good action right there, she's a keeper. By the way, first time posting here, love the forum! Till' next time.

Gotta love it when that happens. My wife snuck out of work early to pick up a 1911 for me for Christmas this past year and I was completely shocked that she did it. It's definitely a firearm I'll never let go of.

Nice gift. She is a keeper. Now I need to get my wife to make dinner before she buys me anything like that.

That's a good start.

My wife doesn't much care what I buy, she just doesn't want to keep hearing about it while I'm researching and trying to make a decision. It was the same with the motorcycles I bought a couple years ago.
Not to say she isn't wonderful. She happily tolerates the two obsessions I have that she was brainwashed as a child to hate - motorcycling and guns. Yep, she's a keeper!

I am so lucky the keeper I found(finally) understands my shooting addiction. She is a little worried I am going to buy a new J-frame Smith before putting a new transmission in my truck, and I possibly would if it wasn't for her. Good to have her keeping me in line sometimes.
