Life expectancy (in round count) of an XD...
I did a search and found numerous accounts but nothing that includes all failures in a single thread but, it's hard to believe it hasn't come up before, anyway...
What is the life expectancy of your XD, in round count before, a gun failure occurs. This is a gun failure OTHER than mag problems per se, spring replacement, etc. How many rounds before the gun needs more than minor repair - like frame or slide cracks, barrel replacement, mags that start to drop out, extractors breakage/failure, etc. If you would, state the make/model of the gun, life expectancy, and what evidence/support you have for the round count, and what failed. Do you know what the manufacturer claims if they do claim anything. Let's try to keep this to near documentable accounts, e.g. Chuck Taylor's milllion round G-17, or a friend that has 100,000 rounds through his gun. Thanks much. |

Well, if that crappy G-17 made it to million rounds, I expect my HS to shoot at least twice as much.
