Guide Rod Question
heres the deal i'm on my way to getting an EFK 9mm conversion threaded barrel for my XD40. right now i have dgr #22 weight. when i get the conversion barrel should i go back to a stock spring and guide rod setup, or get a lighter guide rod?
also ever experience any major problems with the 9mm conversion barrels or is you XD still just as reliable? any info would be appreciated |

I have the DGR in my XD40 with a stock 18# spring and it works great, I'd try that in the 9mm as well. I love the DGR and would not go back to the stock rod and spring.

Well, honestly if you have the setup already... try it. If you experience failures of any kind.... go down to a lighter spring.
No need to change something that you haven't seen yet.

Stock springs for 9mm and 40 are 18lbs.
