I dont really like the feel of the 40sc. it just feels weird in my hand and idk if i could ever get used to it. The 45Compact on the other hand fits my hand perfectly and with the option of a 10rounder for carry and a 13 rounder for range/backup pocket mag, its going to be my next purchase

There are lots of 100% Kydex holster available which work very well you might try Raven Concealment systems or Fist

The Malabar Front

Both make holster out of very light weight Kydex which makes them fairly comfortable. There are others but I don't know of any leather holster that do not have leather backs. K&D's Dakota Defender holster has a suede-lined back.

I have a 40sc and I love it!!! This is the only way to go. Of course, there are others who will say different and have good reason. A lot depends on opinion.

I don't have the .45. Maybe i would like it more??? Obviously my post doesn't help much.

Get the gun that your "gut" tells you to get...

I have played with both, and the 45 has more of a bite when fired, so for a compact carry, I prefer the 40. There's my .02 worth! LOL!

I really enjoy my XD45C more than my .40 SC. I can carry my 45 compact without a hitch just as easy as my SC. I'm not a huge fan of the .40 round anymore b/c follow-up shots and target reacquisition is faster with my .45. With that said, I'm considering selling my Glock 27 and getting a Taurus model 85 for pocket carry or an XD9SC. I've lost my love for the .40 its got a pretty big snap in SC size.

I agree 100% The 40S&W has a snappy recoil while the 45 is more of a push.

This is a good point. Get the one that fits your hand better. I love the 45 compact.
