Custom Frames?
So over the last few days...I have seen at least two different frames that don't seem to be a factory option, at least not one that I am aware of. Both of the frames are stamped with the "SA-XD" logo which leads me to believe they are authentic SA parts. Can someone please advise me if there are more options out there like this and where a guy could get his hands on them. Thanks!!
I dig the digital camo and of course my wife digs the pink. I am guessing after taking a second look, that they are painted. I wonder how well this would hold up under every day use, my guess is not well. GunBroker.com guns: SPRINGFIELD ARMORY XD 9 HIGH CAP PACKAGE (item: 94409296 ends: Mar-19-08 01:39:14 AM) GunBroker.com guns: Springfield XD 9 “Pink” with Trijicon night sights (item: 94033690 ends: Mar-15-08 11:56:22 AM) Last edited by wackman69; 03-10-2008 at 10:45 PM. I would guess the same, but they sure are cool looking. They have been for sale on gunbroker forever! They keep getting relisted. It never comes close to the buy price!

the guns are modified aftermarket. not sure who did the pink one but the digital tan looks like springer precision work.

I did see at the end of one of the auctions,
"Custom coating done by Frank Duren" I wonder what something like this would cost. This guy should seriously advertise, I bet he could make a mint. He is obviously very talented. Pretty cool!! |

I probably could have googled this guy first, unfortunately it does not appear that he has a website, but the finish is called "DuraGuard" from what I have read. He is out of Missouri, thats all I can find for now.
