Springer Trigger bar problem

I installed my springer trigger kit and can't engage the firing pin and can't figure out how to get it to fire so I can remove the slide and use the original trigger bar as it worked fine. Then I'll fit the trigger bar further
thanks

Again I don't want to sound like I'm bagging Springer or anything. I installed it without fitting much and made a easily corrected mistake. I just knew there were people who knew what I was up against and after searching several times I couldn't find the information from the below posts.
Thanks again everyone

Yep. Use a small screw driver to drop the sear. Don't forget to push the grip safety down. Just insert it the the back where the gap in the slide is.

Once you get the slide off you'll need to file a bit of metal off the trigger bar in the area marked 1.
File off a bit put the trigger bar area 1 with the slide still off pull the trigger and hold it now and push the same area down level with the frame, then release the trigger. It the trigger bar should click and the little tab you pushed will pop back up. This is the reset point for the sear. If it doesn't pop up with a slight click, file a bit more metal off and try it again.

Here's a link to a quick video I made of checking for trigger reset. Once you get the reset you'll have to file metal off area 2 in order to get sear to drop enough to release the striker.

yep, and pulling the trigger and not pulling the trigger, nothing seems to work. Do I need to push on the square part of the opening to the right of the square or something else? Nothing works..
I have the new springer sear as well, maybe that makes a difference?

Here's a better pic. You need to get a very thin screw driver or nail in the little slot the arrow is pointing at and push in the direction of the arrow.

I used a straight pick from a pick and hook set when was working on my overtravel screw. you need to pry the back of the sear down. If you push on the back of it straight in like you're trying to push it through the barrel, nothing is going to happen. You have to push the sear down out of the way of the striker.

Oh...probably shouldn't have to say make sure the gun is unloaded when doing this.
