I would guess you are getting your Oregon permit through Multnomah County?

If so have you already made the appointment?

I applied in Clark County today. I called Multnomah County today and they said due to my job and working in Portland I will have no issues getting it for Oregon. So I'm taking the class at the Clackamas County Safety Center next Tues then I have to turn in my application with the certificate from my class.

King County took about 2 weeks. Some of the rurual counties take less then that. It just depends. They must provide you a permit within 30 days or a formal rejection/reason why they can't give you one.

I don't list my guns - I know glocks, FALs, and AKs but I'm not sure my ability to fill a gunsafe with guns make me an expert on anything.

All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting.

I live in Washougal. It took just less than a full 3 weeks for it to come in the mail. Clark County SO is probably pretty busy with OR residents coming for permits along with local residents applying, so I just figured I'd be patient and it would be issued in the time the law allows.

Many folks have said that it's not easy to get a CCW permit from Multnomah County SO, but both my wife and I had no problems.

I wish other counties issued a photo ID CCW card so there is little doubt as to who the card was issued to. Clark County permit doesn't have a photo.

My wife and I were in Everett for a family trip. We went in there on Monday afternoon, and the permits were in the mail when we arrived home on Friday. Incredibly fast in my book.

How difficult is it to get an Oregon CWP as a Washington resident? I travel into oregon alot because I'm right on the border and don't like the fact I'm not legal to carry there.
