thanks to all i got the grip extension for $10.99 but i know you can find them alot cheaper online....i havent even got the gun yet and i already want the 4inch xd-45 compact..lol

Welcome.......Congrats on your new XD.......Last but not lease WARNING There is no cure for XD fever.. The only thing you can do is take a "shot" every so often.

Yes, but before long you start thinking of having a shot as soon as you get off work. Then on weekends you'll start with a shot before noon.
Then you start shooting alone. Many will tell you that you have a problem, But I can assure you it is not a problem. When it is a problem is when you hide one in a drawer at work, just in case you need a shot, even if you don't take one.
All that you can do is join a 12-step program. Buy a gun, repeat 12 times.
Expect a high rate of recidivism.
