Unhappy My CCW Pistol Search Has Ended...For Now. Sorry.

As some know I came to this forum while researching my next CCW pistol. Thanks to all for their help in answering my XD noob questions. You guys have been great. I hope this thread is OK and in the proper forum. I apoligize if it is not on either account and Mods do with it as you see fit.

Anyways, I'm sorry to report that I have went with something I hadn't even considered, an HK p2000sk in .40sw. I really like HK rifles but had never liked any of their pistols. HK's were not even an option when I started my search as the USP series were too big and IMO the grip just sucks. Well, that's until I tried this particular model and for the moment it will be my CCW pistol.

Just so you guys know, IMO, the XDsc has less felt recoil than the HK. Also, even though the trigger is butter smooth it is considerably heavier than the XDsc's trigger. However, the sights line up better for me on the HK and the grip is more comfortable as well. To me it came down to one or the other so I went HK for now since I got a pretty good deal on it.

Yes, the XDsc is one heck of a CCW pistol and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great .40sw compact. Heck, I still might pick one up as I did like it quite a bit. Also, I might try out the service model for shooting my matches. So, I will still be reading and keeping up with the XD as I'm sure there is still one in my future. Thanks again!

Don't be sorry to report that! You got a great gun there! At the end of the day I'm glad to see another gun in the hands of a CCW holder, regardless of brand.

Now if you had come to report you had sold a gun to a government buy back scheme then you would be in dutch. Any buying of a gun is a good thing....

Never say you're sorry when it comes to buying a new gun. Just say sorry when you DONT buy a gun. Because that leaves one more homeless gun.
