Exclamation New XD 45 Tactical with 10round magazine...Is this right?

I just picked up my brand spankin new XD from the shop and couldn't be more excited about it. The only problem is when I got home I noticed that it came with 10 round magazines and not the 13 round mags. Is this the correct way that it was to be delivered or did I just get "lucky" and wind up with the fluke.

It's too late to call the gun shop at this time (7:55 pm), so I am relying on all of your professional opinions. I look forward to hearing what ya'll come up with.

You got one destined for one of those restricted states. Your dealer either ordered the incorrect SKU or the distributor screwed up. Call the shop they should set it straight. If not Springfield will most likely do a swap for you.

It says "not legal in California" on the side, so I assumed that it came with the high capacity mags. You know what they say about assuming...

I just googled the part # and found that the gun that was ordered comes with the 10 + 1 configuration. I hope the guys at the gun shop step up and take care of this minor problem. I'll let you know what goes down tomorrow.

I'm assuming that yours is a bi-tone, That's the same way mine came ,bi-tone and 10 round mags and said not CA. compliant.called springfield and they said thats the way they shipped it and could not exchange the mags with Hi-cap ones But my gun store said they would ,no ploblem They said that was the only way they could get the bi-tone.GOOD LUCK AT YOUR GUN STORE.

Mine is the black 5 inch tactical, but I think you may be right about them only being able to order it in the 10 round mag. I just talked with the manager at the gun store and they said to bring in the mags and they would swap them out for the 13 round mags. Minor crisis overted.

If anyone near Jacksonville, FL needs to buy a gun, give Victor a call at Wild West Guns and Gold. They have been a pleasure to work with and they will give you a good deal. Their number is 904-693-0777.
